Lauren’s
Hope Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in
July 2008 in the Lehigh Valley in memory of Lauren Flood. We are a tax-exempt 501c3
children's charity. Lauren
was born with a traumatic brain injury at birth, consequently
developing into cerebral palsy, along with a seizure disorder. Lauren
passed away on December 19, 2007 suddenly and unexpectedly in
her sleep at the age of four and a half years old. In her
short life she taught us so many lessons. She couldn’t
sit, stand, walk or talk, but she knew how to smile and instill
valuable virtues in those who knew her. The most important
virtues being LOVE and HOPE, hence Lauren’s Hope Foundation,
Inc.
Our Board of Directors consist of 4 Parents of brain-injured
children, 1 Grandparent of a brain-injured child, a School Principal,
a Pediatric Occupational therapist, a retired Sales Director
and a Director of Medical Education at Lehigh Valley Hospital. We
know first hand what each parent goes through on a daily basis
to tend to the needs of their brain-injured child while also
keeping their family intact. We service brain-injured children
from birth to 18 years old. We are here to help lift the load and
enrich the quality of life for your family and your brain-injured
child.
The mission of Lauren’s Hope Foundation, Inc. is to
do whatever we can to enhance the lives of brain injured children
and to give hope and provide support for their families by planning
social events and to provide full/partial funding for specialized
therapies or equipment where insurances do not provide coverage. Applications
are required for review for full/partial funding. |
